Why Try Gluten Free Keto Air Fryer Avocado Fries?

I know, they sound kind of… weird at first, right? I wasn’t sure what to think when I first heard you could make fries out of an avocado. I mean pretty much everything is great in the air fryer so, why not try right?

Unfortunately, the recipes I found utilized white flour and traditional breadcrumbs… neither of which I can eat.

So I played around with some recipes a bit and created a much better Keto version that is also gluten free.

Utilizing a genius combination of almond flour and innovative Keto breadcrumbs made from pork rinds, this recipe revolutionizes the way we think about healthy snacking.

Avocado, the star of the show, brings a creamy texture and a wealth of nutritional benefits to the table, making these fries an ideal choice for anyone looking to indulge responsibly.

Whether you’re a seasoned Keto enthusiast or just dipping your toes into the world of low-carb eating, these air fryer avocado fries are guaranteed to be your next snack obsession. Simple, delicious, and irresistibly crunchy, prepare to fall in love with every bite.

How to Make Air Fryer Avocado Fries (Gluten Free and Keto)

Ingredients:

First step is to prepare the avocados. Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and peel. Slice each half into 8 wedges, depending on size, ensuring they’re thick enough to hold up during cooking. Make sure your avocados aren’t too ripe or else they’ll fall apart in this step… then you might as well make some guacamole.

Then set up three separate bowls. The first shallow bowl gets filled with the almond flour, pour the soy milk into another shallow bowl and combine the panko breadcrumbs with salt and pepper in a third shallow bowl. Dredge the avocado slices in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

After that we’re going to dip them into the unsweetened almond milk, ensuring full coverage. Do this super lightly so as to not wash off the almond flour. Just a gentle dip and flip is perfect.

Finally, coat thoroughly with the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. You want full coverage here. These things are the tasty crunch we all don’t get enough of when following a Keto diet unless we make awesome recipes like this!

If you don’t want to buy Panko Pork Breadcrumbs you can make your own by crushing up pork rinds… it’s a hassle but quite a bit cheaper.

Last step, cook the avocado fries: Place the breaded avocado slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overlap. Depending on the air fryer size, you may need to cook in batches. But they are very rich and filling so you don’t need too many to feel satisfied.

Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crisping. Flipping is the more important the more you have in there.

Enjoy the avocado fries immediately while hot and crispy, with your choice of dipping sauce. Keto ketchup is great or Keto ranch too.
