Strawberry Pancakes for BLW That Are Healthy

This pancake recipe is easy, unique, and has quickly become one of our family favorites.

It started as a baby led weaning recipe for strawberry pancakes trying to add in new flavors and textures… but then my toddler loved the recipe too and soon the whole family started eating them together!

So this strawberry pancake recipe for baby actually became one for the whole family, and might for yours as well!

I use stevia to give it a sweet taste but with no added sugar… you could use monk fruit or xylitol too for the same effect. It’s really easy to swap the flour for either whole wheat or gluten free flour too…

I even add in a little bit of vanilla protein powder sometimes too! You’ll also love all these other pancakes for baby recipes and my banana pancakes for baby or toddler too!

How to Make Strawberry Pancakes for Baby Led Weaning Step-by-Step

Prep time: 5 minutes
Baking Time: 15 times
Total Time: 20 minutes
5 pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (or GF flour)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup diced or blended strawberries
  • ½ cup stevia in the raw
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp melted butter.

Easy instructions to make the pancakes:

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, 3 tbsp of granulated sugar, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix well until all the dry ingredients are evenly incorporated.

In a separate bowl, mix the diced strawberries with the remaining Stevia in the Raw. Set aside for a few minutes.

Add the melted butter and eggs to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Gradually pour in the whole milk while stirring the batter. Mix until smooth and no lumps remain.

Gently fold in the strawberry mixture into the pancake batter.

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Once the skillet is hot, ladle approximately 1/3 cup of the pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake.

Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake, then flip and cook for another minute or until golden brown.

Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adjusting the heat if necessary to prevent burning.

Serve the Strawberry Pancakes warm. Adding toppings for big kids, toddlers, and the rest of the family, and keeping it plain with butter and maybe some real maple syrup for dipping for BLW.
